![]() ![]() Learning what goes where is key to keeping your party healthy and more importantly, sane. To eliminate most threats objects can have on your team, simply interact with the object with the corresponding item.įor example: A Confession Booth, when touched without Holy Water (which you can buy from the Vendor prior to going in) with have a 50%chance of High Stress, a 25% of Loot, or a 25% chance to remove a Negative Quirk. Your party will either be crippled with all manner of plagues or deseases, given new, unhelpful perks, or just cripple them with insanity suffice to say, the odds are not in your favour. Suffice to say however, the odds will not usually be in your favour if you go around grabbing or opening every single little thing you find. A lot of these objects will grant specific things depending on state percentage, and who touches them. As i'm sure you already know, Darkest Dungeon's zones are litterd with objects which you can interact with, these are called 'curios'. It will also call for different items prior to going into the dungeon itself. As already stated, each zone will have different enemies and thus, will require a different party compositon. Buy more stuff to get more stuff: Provisions and pickupsApart from pure stat boosts from quirks, trinkets and inventory items will be your main way to stay alive in the field, espcially on long or difficult dungeons. ![]()

![]() ![]() The audio presentation is a standout here- from the protagonist and accompanying merc's many lines for almost every new encounter to the simple fact that excerpts you find sound off while you run along creates a nice pacing the action never stops. ![]() I don't think the cast of playable characters of #2 can be topped, however the new guys and gals are interesting in their own rights and mix the abilities of their predecessors in exciting ways. Every new spell/skill here seems to matter unlike the hefty amounts of seemingly cool fluff in the last game waiting for you to make the wrong decision and ruin your character this game wants you to succeed. The combat here is just as fun and intuitive as ever the game is a fun clickfest whether you want to go it alone or with your acquaintances. Scrolls are nonexistent, items' finer points are highlighted green to lessen the thought provoking struggle to decide which item is better, the potion guzzling madness has been toned down completely, and there are frequent checkpoints in case you ever want to go outside. Diablo 3 is the Diablo you know and love, minus the tedium that reared its ugly head in older installments. ![]() |
